How does Tenere plant trees?
When your order is successfully placed via Tenere, our partners will pay us a commission, from which a small portion will be donated to one of our tree-planting project partners. The number of trees planted from your purchase will be displayed to you for transparency.
How many trees will I plant when I shop with Tenere?
The more you spend, the more trees you will plant. We send a percentage of the commission earned to tree planting projects around the world. You will be updated on the number of trees planted with each purchase. On average, for every dollar donated, three trees will take root. The total amount of trees planted with your purchases will be added to your My Account tab.
For example, you have placed a $100 order with one of our retail partners. They will, in turn, pay Tenere a 10% commission. We will then donate 30% of this amount - in this case, $3 - to one of our partners’ tree-planting projects. This is equal to planting 9 trees.
Who are Tenere’s retail partners?
We have more than 30,000 retail partners - far too many to list here! Our retail partners cover everything from clothes to household appliances to outdoor gear.
Does Tenere accept donation in cash?
We appreciate your help. However, Tenere is not taking donation in cash at the moment. We support tree-planting projects with our commission from users’ orders at our merchant partners. If you find Tenere a conducive idea, help us by sharing it to your circle and set your planting goal together.
How does Tenere make money?
Depending on our partners, the commissions we earn vary with every purchase made via the Tenere extension. Generally, our commission ranges between 5% and 20% per completed order.
What is the Tenere Extension?
Tenere is an add-on browser extension that’s available for Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge browsers. This extension:
- Automatically activates on Tenere partners’ websites.
- Estimates the total number of trees planted with your orders.
- Tenere appears at Checkout and automatically applies the BEST COUPON Codes on our database.
How does it work?
When you shop online with Tenere, you can see the Tenere button on the top right of the browser with the number of coupons found. Click on this button to browse and copy all available coupon codes. Just like the Screenshot below:


Tenere will work automatically when you check out your favorite products. A small window will appear on the top right corner with all redeemable coupons. When you click the “Apply Coupon” button, Tenere will then automatically test and apply these codes. This will let you get the best price on your order.

How do I Uninstall the Tenere extension?
To uninstall the Tenere extension on Chrome, right-click on the extension’s toolbar icon and then select “Remove from Chrome” or “Remove extension”, depending on the browsers you are using.
Why can't Tenere find a valid coupon code?
Some coupons may not apply to your order because your order doesn’t meet the requirements. For example, there is a coupon that only applies to orders over $100, but if your order is under $100, this coupon will turn invalid. Some coupon codes may also be expired as well. Unfortunately, we cannot create coupons; we just find and test them.
Will my order be more expensive if I activate tree planting?
You actually pay less with Tenere as the extension automatically applies coupons to your order. Feel free to shop with Tenere and help plant more trees.
Is my personal data secure?
Absolutely! Your personal data will not be collected. Trees need protection and so does your privacy. At Tenere, we make sure to do both.

All over the world. Tenere works with 9 projects who have years of experience. These organizations have clear vision of which planting project will benefit the local economies and deforested areas.
How many trees are planted per dollar?
On average, our partnered projects can plant three trees for every dollar donated.
How do I track how many trees I've planted?
That part is easy. All you have to do is click on the Tenere browser extension icon and we’ll show you how many trees you’ve planted overall. We’ll calculate the amount of trees planted with each purchase you make and add it to your My Account
How does Tenere choose its projects?
We only work with established organisations that are committed to reforestation efforts. We allow you to choose the project you want to support when you shop through our extension.
Can I team up with other people?
Yes! We encourage you to invite your friends and family to join a team so you can track how many trees you’ve planted together.
How do I know if Tenere truly donates my trees to the projects?
You are free to access planting receipts and certificates from the projects. We will keep you updated monthly for transparency.
Can I become a tree planting partner with Tenere?

How can your $1 plant 3 trees?
Of course it costs a lot more to grow a tree. Yet, $1 is enough for 3 trees to take root. That’s the very first milestone.
Why do I need to verify my email address?
Your account security is important to us at TenereTeam. We verify the email address for security purposes. It ensures no one else can create an account with your email address but you. If you choose to create an account through Facebook, we won’t ask to verify your email address, because Facebook has already verified it for us. If you have any trouble with the verification process please contact us here .
What do I do if I forgot my password?
Unable to access your account? No worries, you can reset your password and resume activity right away. If you've forgotten your password, click HERE. If you’ve created an account using your Facebook information, you will need to go to your Facebook account in order to update it.

What is Your Tree Balance?
Your Tree Balance indicates the total number of trees you donated from your completed orders. You can donate your trees to any of the 9 projects we work with.
What are Donated Trees?
Donated Trees are the trees you've donated to your favorite projects.
What if I don't donate my trees from completed orders?
No tree left behind! Tenere will find the right project to send your trees to on your behalf and update you on the details.
What are Pending Trees?
You can see your Pending Trees in your Account Overview for 2-14 days of your order.

This is when your transactions are pending for 60 days, on average, while the merchant verifies and has your purchase completed. If you process return or refund, the amount of Your Pending Trees will automatically adjust accordingly.
